Horse Podcast Ep 161: Taking Stock – One Year As Podcast Hosts

Equestrian Adventuresses Travel and Horse Podcast Ep 161 - Taking Stock - One Year As Podcast Hosts

One year ago, in July 2020, Heather and Ute took over as podcast hosts of the Equestrian Adventuresses Podcast so it could grow into a regular podcast show with three episodes a week, bringing its audience not only stories and interviews from all around the world, but also tips on travelling, horse keeping, horse health and trail riding. From inexperienced newcomers in the podcasting world, we have grown along with the EQA podcast over the last 12 months and the journey has just started. Today we want to pause and take stock, remembering all the ups and downs of the ride and telling you about our favorite episodes, glitches and of course why we are still here, recording, editing and uploading new episodes for you every week!

The Equestrian Adventuresses Podcast

When Krystal founded the Equestrian Adventuresses Tribe, the idea of starting a podcast was natural. Besides all her other endeavours, the podcast was born and went ahead with interesting interviews about women riding horses in different countries. The first step is always the hardest, nevertheless, Krystal put the podcast on firm ground and saw it growing wings. But finding people for interviews, recording and editing the episodes, uploading them and all the other small works involved in a running a podcast professionally, take a lot of time. So Krystal decided to share the responsibility and we came on board to turn the podcast in a regular show with three episodes a week.

This happened one year ago and we have managed to increase not only our frequency but also our audience, turning the podcast into a successful and regular show which is listened, by women from the USA to Australia, from Europe to South America. Just as our audience is international, so is the hosting. Sitting on opposite sides of the world, we can bring you topics and stories from every corner and country, focusing not on one horse culture, but trying to bring you the full width of Equestrianism from all around the world!

We have also started a weekly live episode on Facebook where we discuss interesting topics every Tuesday 4:30 pm UTC. You can join us live or find the recordings in our Facebook group or on our YouTube Channel.
