Barrel racing is a rodeo or gymkhana sport where you and your horse complete a cloverleaf pattern as fast as you can. Both Men and women compete in this sport, however, most rodeos only allow the ladies. Barrel racing is a race as the fastest time wins but there are lots of skills required to be a champion. Flying lead changes and balance are just a few of the athletic abilities required to compete in this sport. Proper preparation for both horse and rider is required to make Barrel racing fun and safe.
