Horse Podcast Ep 249: How Old Is Your Horse?

Do you know how to tell how old your horse is? For some horse owners, the registration or passport will show when your horse was born. Not all of us will have access to these documents. In today’s EQA  # 249 we discuss some ways to tell the age of a horse.  Starting with their teeth, the Galvayne’s groove is a great dental feature that appears around the age of 10. From there is move down the tooth until it is completely disappeared by age 30.  We also learn about average life spans and those breeds that have an extra-long life expectancy.
